Military compensation is awarded as recompense for the pain, suffering and loss of amenity experienced by injured Service personnel and veterans;

it should not be treated as normal income. It's unfair and has to change! Please take action today and support our Insult to Injury campaign. Help us take action today! Please show your support for our injured veterans by joining our campaign. Email your Member of Parliament (and Welsh Assembly Member or Member of the Scottish Parliament, if applicable) and ask them to help ensure that no injured veteran has to use their military compensation to pay for their care. Please encourage your friends and family to support our campaign too, by using the hashtag #insulttoinjury and visiting/sharing our and feeds. Why Not Join The Branch? The Riders Branch is keen to attract motorcyclists and supporters of the Legion from across the globe. We already have Branch members from Cornwall to Scotland as well as Europe, Northern America and Australasia. We are brought together by our enthusiasm for motorcycling, and our willingness to support the aims and charitable efforts of The Royal British Legion.

Branch members have the option to belong to more than one branch if they wish, allowing them to remain members of their local Legion Branch/Club as well as the Riders, which is a National Branch. We have members from The Royal Navy, The Army, The Royal Air Force and The Royal Marines as well as those who have not served, but wish to support the aims of the Royal British Legion through the Riders Branch. The Riders Branch is very diverse in it's membership. Members are young and old, male and female. We take part in all types of biking and biking events, from track days to rallies, on customs to sports bikes, and everything in between! And not forgetting formal Legion organised events and fund raising. All members are encouraged to play an active role within the Branch at Local and National level, with the emphasis on being pro-active in getting together with other Branch members in their geographical area. We try to attend as many events as possible during the year across the whole spectrum of the motorcycling calendar.

“This has given me the massive confidence boost I needed.” The Battle Back Centre is an Army-led Centre that is funded and delivered by The Royal British Legion. Led by world-class coaching staff, our activities are challenging, but safe and enjoyable. They include climbing, watersports, caving, wheelchair basketball, clay shooting and archery. All our activities build camaraderie with others going through similar challenges. We have high quality residential accommodation for 24 people at a time, with 16 rooms fully equipped for those who need wheelchair access or have other requirements. “I've done things at The Battle Back Centre that I thought I'd never be able to do again, including rock climbing, caving and kayaking. Everything was adapted to suit my needs and my personal programme concentrated on my own rehabilitation. Simply an amazing place.” The Centre is at the National Sports Centre, Lilleshall in the West Midlands. Army staff look after the health, safety, security and welfare of Service participants attending the courses.
