The traditional sweat pants, while comfortable, just weren’t fashionable. On the other hand, the workout pants at the time, while functional and in some cases fashionable, were just not that comfortable. What resulted was the trademarked pants called “BAGGEEZ”.
It didn’t take long for the BAGGEEZ to become the mainstay of numerous fitness gurus and when MC Hammer himself endorsed them they became known as “the MC Hammer pant”. After six years of rapid growth and great success, Cathileen’s ambitions and ingenuity enabled her to start and incorporate Build Your Own Garment (BYOG). Initially working from her home in 1990, her tireless work ethic, relentless quest for quality, and servant leadership style facilitated her company’s move to a humble Dublin, California warehouse in 1993. With the purchase of BYOG’s first automated printing machine the team quickly grew in its capability and capacity, again causing production to outgrow its facility space. In 1996 the office moved a few blocks into a bigger warehouse. Continued growth and success fueled various upgrades in production infrastructure, again prompting a move to our current facility in 2005. Today BYOG enjoys a 15,000 square foot facility that houses our showroom, production warehouse, and corporate offices.
We now have two state-of-the-art automated presses and three top of the line computerized embroidery machines in house. We pride ourselves in having built our company with an outstanding reputation on hard work, uncompromising integrity and exceptional customer service. BYOG considers itself very blessed to have grown each year of our existence. BYOG continues to help clients of all types by creating and producing custom apparel and branded promotional products. We’re happy to work with anyone – from individuals looking to make bachelor/bachelorette party shirts, to Fortune corporate clients and professional sports associations.
