MaxPreps has listed the Hoodies House as one of the nation’s best showcase high school tournaments for 2016. Formerly known as the Bojangles’ Shootout, the tournament has been in Charlotte since 2000. Staff and volunteers are readying themselves for another awesome and exciting year of high and elite caliber high school basketball competition.

Jeff Hood, former Founder and Tournament Director for the much celebrated and former #1 Post Christmas HS Basketball Tournament in the Country, the Bojangles’ HS Basketball Shootout, is back and he is bringing the tournament back even Bigger, Better and more Exciting. To learn more about the Hoop’s Classic, its committed teams, players, tournament action and event schedules. The 2nd Annual Hoodie’s House of Hope for Youth “Christmas In July Community Celebration of Hope” event is scheduled for Sunday, July 24th from 3pm – 7pm at the Greenville Center, located at 1330 Spring Street, Charlotte NC 28206.  This event is in place to aid, assist and engage with persons that may be Homeless, Underserved and/or Elderly.  Hoodie’s House of Hope for Youth staff, volunteers and event sponsors put forth this event to provide those within the community a succulent meal with all of the trimmings which will be prepared by Chef TJ Winchester, Chef Andre McFarland & Chef Ed Price. 

Additionally, attending participants will be able to gain access to new or gently used clothes, shoes and accessories, as well as, take advantage of various grooming opportunities, such as receiving a free haircut for boy’s/men or hair treatment and style for girl’s/women. The beautifully decorated facility will put everyone in the mood for a great time during this awesome event.  The house provider of music will be by DJ Dre’ who will surely entertain the attendees, many of whom that will have the opportunity to get up out of their seat and dance to the music.  Last year’s Celebration of Hope event attracted over 550 persons who was treated to a first class event with all of the trimmings.  This year’s event already looks to provide even more food, fun, entertainment and excitement, so if you know of anyone who is in need of assistance, a good meal, or just a place to spend a few hours, please refer them to this event, as there will be plenty of food, clothes and entertainment!
