He was found with a Greek driving licence, an Italian identity card and a quantity of cash in different currencies.Police found fake French, Greek and Dutch passports when they searched his City apartment. Money, including 82,310 in Swiss francs, 13,010 in Sterling and 5,905 in Euros was also discovered.

He has been remanded in custody awaiting the investigation's conclusion. In a statement, the office of the Zurich prosecutor, told The Telegraph: 'Based on police reports from within and outside of Switzerland, the public prosecution office for economic crime opened criminal proceedings against the accused due to fraud in May 2015.'Because the accused had already gone into hiding at that point in time, Zurich's public prosecution office issued an international arrest warrant for him. Thanks to the good collaboration between domestic and foreign authorities, the accused could be arrested mid-February in Spain.'Vossen sent two apologetic text messages to his former girlfriend Sophia Rafaat, a model and television presenter.

He sent this message two weeks after leaving London: 'I am so very sorry. The producer behind the film remake of The Sweeney starring Ray Winstone has been missing for the past three months. Friends of London-based Felix Vossen have expressed concern that he has not made contact with anyone since sending a rather cryptic email on March 5.The producer, who was also behind I, Anna and crime thriller Pusher is believed to have travelled from London to Zurich on March 3. But he has not been seen since. 'Then he didn’t show up for a couple of meetings and he become more absent. Then he was in Zurich and told us he couldn’t get back, which was not completely uncommon. But then he dropped off the radar.'A film industry source said Vossen had been 'a bit of an enigma'‘I met him a couple of years ago and he is quite a nice fella,' he said. 'He always seems to have his latest beautiful girlfriend with him and gave off the image of a bit of a playboy. I think he is Swiss. Over the last year it became difficult that he couldn’t bring the finance to the table for Miss You Already.'  Icon Film Distribution investors New Sparta backed the Catherine Hardwicke-directed feature, which was a hot seller for sales outfit Salt during Cannes.Initially developed at Embargo Films, the film is classified as an S Films [the production company belonging to Simon] production.Vossen, Southcombe and Simon launched Embargo in 2010.
