Scottevest's Hoodie has ten. The inside of each midsection pocket hold its own additional pocket, along with some other neat gimmicks. Cotton bands inside both pockets fit snugly around your hands, warming them more than just the large, loose pockets themselves. A very tiny change compartment is sewn inside the left pocket, though it won't hold more than a few quarters at once. The right pocket holds a loop of elastic cord you can use as a key holder, or fit around a water bottle if you don't mind a bulge in your shirt. Vertical pockets are built into both of the big midsection pockets, accessible from the top instead of the side. Each vertical pocket is capable of holding a smartphone (my 5.7-inch Google Nexus 6P phablet fit fine) or a pair of glasses comfortably, and can be closed with plastic snaps. The Rare Inside-Hoodie PocketThat's already more pockets than most hoodies, but Scottevest's Hoodie goes into outright jacket territory with the inclusion of interior pockets.

A large, divided breast pocket sits on either side of the zipper, completely hidden when the Hoodie is zipped. Each pocket is loosely secured with a magnetic fastener (that Scottevest assures will not damage your electronics), and splits into a small front compartment that can hold keys or glasses, and a large rear compartment that can hold a smartphone or a small tablet (unlike the Tropiformer, the Hoodie has no pocket that can reasonably hold a full-sized iPad). Like virtually all Scottevest products, the Hoodie uses the company's patented Personal Area Network, a series of sewn channels and small elastic loops you can run your wired headphones through to keep them connected to your device in any of the inner pockets; just remember to pull them out before you put the Hoodie in the laundry. Treatment and ConclusionsSpeaking of laundry, the Hoodie's cotton is best treated delicately, machine washed in cold water and tumble dried. I put the Hoodie through six loads of laundry on those settings, and it still looks as good and feels as sturdy as when I first got it, though perhaps it's lost a hint of its initial softness with my steady use.
