Am I any good, are vitamin tablets any good, what’ll win the 5.15 at Haydock Read on culture lovers Screaming Eagles is screaming out as I type this - the Goldeneye Gramophone turned up to 11, I’m sat at my computer in a Sabaton T-shirt and Sabaton hoodie as luck would have it - dressed for the occasion - how appropriate . . . so what do I think ?

Well, firstly I wonder . . . just how do you follow Primo Victoria and The Art of War / It must be a daunting prospect but then I suppose they are the Mighty Sabaton - Norse Gods of Rock - so if anyone can do it they can - in fact, only they ever could ! I’m of the opinion that Primo Victoria and The Art of War are two of the greatest albums ever recorded - given that you’ll think this is a biased review - I’m clearly something of a fan. I’m biased in as much as I like them because I have an appreciation of good music - I’ve been listening to and watching live bands in the heavy rock genre for well over 30 years now so take it from me they’re good, very good. The title track is already an instant classic, I’ve been listening to it on their Myspace page for some time now which perhaps explains why it’s initially my favourite track. Sabaton’s albums are like all your favourite records - they just get better and better the more familiar you get with them.

Uprising is also an immediate stunner (video coming soon I believe) Aces in Exile reminds us just what a debt we owe to the pilots of Poland ( and we already know how brave Polish soldiers are , Czechoslovakia and Canada et al who flew and fought for Britain during WWII especially during The Battle of Britain The album already has me gripped, it’s superb I do recommend you buy it ! On that note please do buy it, don’t download a pirate version - the band really do play fair they allow loads of their songs to stay on YouTube they also gave a full free preview of this album on MySpace so please do return the goodwill and buy a proper copy. Mine only cost £9 from Amazon - bargain ! In keeping with the new policy an original photograph !
