But yesterday, the man behind some of the most coveted sneakers of the last decade put his stamp of approval on a label he has nothing to do with. It's called Karhu, and it's a heritage brand from Finland that was founded over 100 years ago. But actually, the fact that West wore a shoe from another brand isn't what's most surprising here. It's that the shoe, which is called the Karhu Fusion 2.0, is seemingly so far outside what we feel like is his typical sneaker taste/the one he's implemented in his own designs. Other than the rumored Yeezy runners he wore recently, these kicks are a everything his sleek and lightweight Yeezy Boost 350s arent—a chunky running shoe with an earthy color scheme.

He did it with Yeezy Season clothing by wearing boat loads of camo, military surplus, and workwear in 2014, then later with combat boots that inspired his own Yeezy Boost 750 sneakers and Yeezy Season 3 boots. So, this trend towards chunkier, more colorful running sneakers may very well be a sign of what's to come from Mr. West's upcoming fashion projects.
