Dr. Oz -- 'Have You Ever Tried to Bang Oprah?' 1/8/2011 9:30 AM PST Dr. Oz has never had sex with Oprah Winfrey -- and he doesn't know where "the hoes" are at either ... at least that's what he told a NY hip-hop radio DJ this week. The good doc was hanging out with "The Breakfast Club" on Power 105.1 in NYC -- when the host cut right to the chase ... asking, "I know you get a lot of money ... so I know you know where the hoes at -- Where the hoes at Dr. Oz?"After some awkward laughter, the host moved on .. asking Oz if he ever tried to "bang" Oprah. Oz, of course, said no ... but he explained it wasn't the first time people have been suspicious. I bought my first RMC-95C6B from Lowes after hurricane sandy took my power out for a week and a half. The heater works great. So good that we now use it as or main source of heat.(we have electric heat) I have a 1,800sq ft single story house and it keeps the whole house warm even with below 0 temps outside. Only thing I have to do is put a fan in the hallway to blow the warm air to the kids bedrooms. It's virtually odorless as long as you follow the manual and use good clear K1 kero. (it's more expensive but I recommend buying the 5gal cans from the store instead of from a gas station). We did the gas station thing for a season and we had problems with odor and wicks not lasting long.
Bought our second RMC-95C6B for the basement and actually read the instruction manual and switched to the store bought 5 gal kero cans and followed the directions in the manual about doing the dry burn once a week during heavy use and we haven't had any odor since and a wick last's a whole winter being used at least 13+ hrs a day. Would prob last longer but I replace it every season. It's a great buy. After a power outage that lasted a couple days, I needed something to warm rooms in the house. I bought and assembled one of these devices and fired it up. The longest time involved was the hour needed to 'saturate' the wick prior to lighting. The assemble was easy, the initial lighting was very easy and the heat put off by the unit was most helpful in raising the warmth in the house. I didn't notice any potential 'odors' during its use and felt safe using it. Without power, its a helpful device. I bought this model at Lowes. The first one I bought made a unbearable sputtering noise called customer service they told me to return it to store which I did after two weeks of torture.
The second one I got lucky with seems to do the job. My only real complaint is trying to get through with customer service it is a total nightmare they had me on hold for almost an hour and when someone finally picked up they put me on hold again for so long I hung up. I have some projects in the garage and my 27 year old forced air kerosene heater quit. I decided to try this convection unit. So far I like it. At first it was difficult to light. I replaced the batteries that came with it and it lit immediately. I bought one of these heaters a year ago to replace my 40 year old Corona heater. I just replaced the wick that has been used hard for one year. I am so impressed with the performance that I just bought another RMC-95C6B heater to be used in a different location. When the wick needs replacing, use the DuraHeat DH-145 wick. This is the longest lasting wick I have ever used. I bought this 2 weeks ago for a backup source of heat . Have not had the chance to use it yet.
Bought this a week ago and already it has worked flawless. I owen 3 other ones but they are hard to get parts for. I have to go about 15-20 miles out of my way. The parts have to be speacial order, for extra knobsand gaskets. The wicks are also starting to get hard to find for the heaters. This is way I had to buy a new one. I use it to heat my home. If you ever need parts or assistance with your heater, feel free to give us a call at 877-447-4768. - GHP Group Customer Service Team I bought this heater as an emergency back-up source of heat in case of a power outage or when the temperatures get below the energy efficiency threshold of the heat pump. We have used it several times this winter and it has proven to be a very reliable heater that I hope provides many years of service. Bought it for my garage and it's perfect. No smell and plenty of heat. The electronic igniter was broken and instead of having to box it up and return it the company sent me a new igniter.
