Teresa Arangio came to America many years ago, but she certainly hasn’t lost any of her Sicilian flair. One of this biggest parts of any Italian’s flair? Cooking from scratch is taking a big turn toward extinction. With services like Seamless and GrubHub that deliver fully cooked meals to your door in 30 minutes to an hour… younger generations just aren’t picking up the spatula as often as they should. Cooking from scratch is by far healthier, cheaper, and less wasteful than cooking your own yummy meals. Think of all the plastic containers and tip money you’d save if you just cooked your own food! But the most valuable part of learning to cook for yourself is to connect with your heritage, and to keep the spirit of past generations alive. Cooking is a way to discover the essence of a culture. Tasting Nanna’s recipes will always bring back memories. Cooking also sets aside time to either bond with those with whom you cook, creating new memories, or to meditate and decompress if you’re cooking alone.

The other best part about learning to cook from scratch? It’s the most delicious food you’ll ever put into your mouth. If you’re looking for an extremely simple dish to cook, follow Teresa’s gnocchi recipe. She doesn’t exactly give you precise measurements, because a true cook puts together their dishes on the fly. With essentially just potatoes, flour, eggs, onions, eggplant, and tomatoes, she makes what looks like the most delicious plate of pasta. Model-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid may have thought she was going incognito on the streets of New York City recently, but photographers recognized her behind her black-rimmed glasses and beneath the hood of her sweatshirt — which was a design from Khloé Kardashian’s popular Good American denim line. And if Hadid were really trying to hide, the fact that the blue drawstring hoodie she was wearing was part of Kardashian’s monogram collection didn’t help either: It had a giant letter “G” — for Gigi, obviously — emblazoned across the front.

The 21-year-old completed the casual look with a pair of jeans that were ripped at the knees. A week ago, Kardashian introduced the sweatshirt line on Instagram by modeling a “K” version of the top, along with thigh-high boots, in a black-and-white photo that revealed the one thing she wasn’t wearing: pants. The 32-year-old captioned the photo, “LET’S GET ALPHABETICAL @khloekardashian behind the scenes shooting Good Hoodie. Less than 24 hours until the first drop, available in letters A-Z. On her brand’s website, the top is officially called the Good Hoodie. It was completely sold out at the time of this article’s publication. Hopeful customers are invited to choose their letter — from A to Z — and apply to be put on the waitlist. Kardashian even published the paparazzi photo of Hadid — best friend of her sister Kendall — on the Good American site while announcing that her brand would restock the top in less than a month. She wrote, “Yep you heard @khloekardashian right—Good Hoodie will return 2/23.

to be notified when it’s arrived (PS @gigihadid we’re LOVING you in your ‘G’ hoodie!) #goodsquad.” Kardashian’s Good American brand became wildly popular shortly after its debut on Oct. 18, when it raked in $1 million in sales on Day 1, making it the biggest denim launch in apparel history.
