Reviewer: Mitch from Palm Harbor, Fl I wear a 16 wide and I'm very particular about my shoes. I can wear these with shorts, jeans, or khakis.
The best part is there are round laces that don't loosen as you walk. Reviewer: Karl from Florida Great shoe for someone on there feet all day. Reviewer: Micah I from Portland, OR The Dunham REVdare is officially the first shoe to (almost) fit my 4E-width sized hobbit feet. For those who don't know the pain, wide widths come in additionally wider and wider sizes, which is nearly impossible to find in any brick-and-mortar (or, really any) shoe store. I've essentially been walking around with clown shoes is what I'm trying to get at, and this shoe has singlehandedly solved so many of my dilemmas. Although not a perfect shoe, the REVdare has proven to meet the reliability I need running around the rainy and sometimes snowy streets of Portland. Water-resistant - much needed where I live Stylish AF - wear some oxford socks with these bad boys Durable - I've worn this shoe in Portland, L.A., D.C., Chicago, New Orleans....you get the point Loses all traction after about a year - for someone like me, I have to watch the surfaces I'm walking on if it's wet and slippery.
Laces frayed and broke after about a year - which ain't too bad since they're cheap as hell on Prime Summation: I love these freaking shoes. I am usually an 8.5 wide, but for this shoe I needed an 8. Reviewer: David Hendrickson from Minnesota My husband had bunion surgery and needs a firm/stiff sole which thus has. Also with 3 Velcro traps he can adjust it perfectly. He's very wide in tie bad but can snug up heel because it has a Velcro strap. Very comfortable for problematic feet! Blair Twin Gore Slip On Very comfortable, soft leather. Looks very nice with jeans or even for business casual like khakis. Exeter Gore-Tex® Moc Toe ChukkaOrdered these in 12 6E. The right shoe fit rather snug, the left shoe definitely too tight. Have ordered 12 6E Adidas with great fit. These were 6E but simply too narrow. My quest for a well fitting boot continues… The fit and look of these shoes is great. Since I live in the NW US where it is gray and rainy for many months of the year, I appreciate that these are waterproof.
However, they could be constructed better. Within two months of wearing these several days a week the inner soles of the shoes started peeling up and curling at the toes making them very uncomfortable without constant adjustment. Prior to this they were very comfortable. I will need to add replacement insoles to keep these shoes comfortable. This should not happen at all but certainly not after such a short time. Reviewer: Nikki from Florida My husband had been wearing some Johnston and Murphys that he loved but he didn't want to spend so much on a new pair. From the pictures and description, these looked like the perfect solution, but alas, they did not seem to be even worth $50 let alone $100. He said that they were fairly comfortable and supportive, but they looked like plastic clown shoes. Maybe it's just us, but we definitely think they looked extremely cheap. Reviewer: TRUE from NYC The first time I bought these sandals, they were among about a dozen pairs that I ordered.
My intention was to choose the best of the lot, and send the rest back. Many of the other sandals seemed to be designed by people who had never actually tried to wear them – straps that were too short, insufficient velcro strips, weird construction that caused things to scrape against the foot, etc. Slipping into these was like butter. Really comfortable, easy to adjust for the perfect fit, really attractive. My only complaint is that they don't last as long as I'd like. Even though I didn't wear them very much (in NYC, there are only so many months warm enough to wear sandals), I still had to replace them after only a couple years. Of course, I bought the same exact sandal as a replacement because it was still the best option I was able to find on Zappos. I need wide sizes and this is one of the few decent-looking boots that have it. These seem to fit well, but I haven't worn them outside yet. Reviewer: from Pomona, NY This is a very nice and sleek shoe for a shoe with this width.
My dad only wears High Tops and I searched high and low until I found him a nice shoe. The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is because the first time my dad tied the laces they popped.... So the laces quality is a bit poor.. Thisn nis a really sharp pair of shoes, especially for those having a tough time finding larger sizes. Unfortunately a 2E is too tight. Reviewer: Jerry from Georgia Good comfort and great looking shoe Reviewer: Dave from NYDespite being advertised as such. That being said they are very comfortable. I bought these shoes for comfort and slip resistance (I'm a chef), not style. I find them quite unattractive but very comfortable. Unfortunately, the minute I stepped onto the floor of the kitchen I started to slip and slide. These shoes are advertised as slip resistant but I'd be better off wearing my leather bottomed Florsheim's.Best work shoe I've had in a long time. Super comfortable and love the wing tip/soft leather look.
Hope they make more styles. Comfortable if it fits right. This shoe does not fit, like the other New Balances I have. I usually can wear my shoes as 2E width or a half size bigger. This shoe is slightly narrower than past New Balances, for the D width. I tried going half and full size bigger but my heel slips out too easily. I also tried the 2E and it was way too wide for me. It's a shame it doesn't fit me, because this shoe looks good, waterproof, and seems comfortable like my favorite New Balance MWM756. I would recommend it if it fits you. Reviewer: Catherine Burnham from Pleasant Hill, CA I wear Exosym IDEO leg braces, and it always a big challenge to find shoes that will fit them. These boots have been amazingly comfortable for my very wide foot and the braces fit in snugly and comfortably. They are deep enough that my heel doesn't slip out. I'm so pleased to have found them, especially in a 4E width. The toe box is very roomy, and if you have a wider foot these are definitely worth trying!
I was sloshing around in very deep puddles and they are indeed waterproof, at least up to the area where the tongue is no longer stitched at the side to the boot itself. There are open areas at the very top on both sides where the tongue does not protect the foot from moisture, but other than that, they are wonderful. Just don't go too deep into water in them. If they stitched all the way up the sides of the tongue I probably couldn't have gotten my braces in them, so I'll take them as they are. This will likely be my go to winter boot for as long as they make them. Reviewer: Madonna Knipp from Greenville, Ohio My father has Alzheimer's. He needed shoes, wears a wide width and we live 1.5 hours from any stores. I couldn't have managed without Zappos help. Not only did the store come to him, but he LOVES his new shoes. This style slips on him easily, is light and comfortable and looks great. Like the shoe alot but expected width to run true (which it doesn't, it runs wider) also heel doesn't fit snuggly.
