We retract our minds from processing further thought. The vile feeling doubles when you realise the word applies to you. When you realise that this time it wasn't the index number ahead or behind yours. The silence thickens and finally gives way to a trillion thoughts. The routine is to breakdown and cry. Feel like you let everyone down, particularly yourself. But I wish to let you know that a trail should in no wise hamper your academic confidence. A trail should not leave you feeling less worthy of the medical school. A trail and a resit is just another opportunity to further prove your knowledge in a given subject matter. The test of a medical student's intelligence is already passed. You passed that test when you were admitted to the medical school. Your presence here already speaks volumes about your genius. Don't let a trail stop you from doing anything else. A trail should not let you cry, a trail should not keep you from the good hobbies and projects you indulge. A trail should not stop you from attending the black Ball Dinner if you want to.
