Chris will be headlining the Watershed Music and Camping Festival this July 28-30 at The Gorge, WA.  One of the most-anticipated lineup announcements of the festival season, the sixth-annual Watershed Music and Camping Festival revealed today that superstars Luke Bryan, Darius Rucker and Chris Stapleton would Country Music Hall of Fame member Don Williams announced his retirement from performing last year, concluding an impressive five-decade career that includes two CMA Awards, two ACM Awards and 17 No. 1 hits. In honor of his legendary career, Williams’ longtime producer and friend Garth Fundis has produced a tribute album, Gentle Giants: The Songs of Don Williams, Chris will be headlining Tortuga Music Festival on Saturday, April 8th. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of what was such a pivotal year in the band’s history, we will post a series of items on social media throughout 2017 to coincide with what the band were doing at the time all those years ago. The release is limited to 1500 numbered copies and sees the original 11 track LP coupled with an additional, 9 track album featuring b-sides, different versions and radio session takes.

Both albums are pressed on heavyweight 180 gram vinyl, the original LP on black and the bonus on red & they are housed in a wide spined sleeve with the front cover design embossed. The original inner sleeve has been lovingly recreated by Phil Johnson and the extra album has one too with a matching design. Also included in the package is a 10″ x 10″ art print of the front cover design. The reissue is available to order from Townsend Music here now and orders should be shipped late next week. Fly straight with perfection… Forty years of the Finchley Boys Forty years ago, on 14th November 1976,  a Guildford based band, who were being swept along with the new wave explosion, played yet another inauspicious pub gig on the London circuit. They were veritable veterans of the Capital’s pub rock treadmill and, for them, nothing about this specific gig at the Torrington in Finchley made it stand out from the numerous other such concerts that they’d played so far that year.
