He laid on the couch in the living room trying to take his mind off of what was irritating him by watching his favourite rom-coms while hugging the pillow his moirail gave him. However, he couldn't keep himself focused on the movie in front of him. He looked out the window, seeing the dark grey clouds setting up outside. He sat up and let out a deep sigh. Eventually, you had ended up in an alleyway, out of breath and away from the crowd. You wanted to check if he was still following you but right as you were about to peak out of the corner, Karkat ran right in front of you, making you yelp. He was as out of breath as you were. "(Y/n) what the fuck!" He said between each short breath he took. You didn't want to see him, not now. You turned around to run again when you felt him grab your wrist, pulling you back and pushing you against the brick wall quite roughly. His other hand rested next to your head. "DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING RUN AWAY AGAIN." Oh no, you just brought on a Vantas rant."WHY THE FUCK DO YOU KEEP RUNNING?! TONIGHT WAS MOVIE NIGHT AND WE NEVER MISS A MOVIE AND YOU FUCKING KNOW THAT. You said making sure not to make eye contact with him, instead choosing to keep your eyes on the grey cancer symbol that was on his black sweater."

Silence fell between the two of you, almost as if time itself had paused. All you could hear were the droplets of rain that hit the ground.He was hurting because of you."You said, your voice barely audible."Stop avoiding me, (Y/n). I can't bear it anymore." Your could feel your heart break at his words.He slowly let go of your wrist, causing you to look down at his hand that was slowly retreating away from yours. You could see the red tears in his eyes about to spill over. Right then, you remembered the words that Rose had told you earlier."

You should just tell him how you feel. "You'll just leave me like everyone else did." "I'm not worthy of you Kar—"He pressed his lips against yours. Your eyes widen but soon closed, allowing yourself to melt into the kiss. You yelled, making him jump back a bit."

Karkat laces his fingers with yours as he pulls you out of the alleyway, both of you running towards your home."(Y/N)," Karkat looked back, yelling through the pouring rain as you both ran "I LOVE YOU." You could see the faint red in his cheeks before he turned away. I LOVE YOU TOO!"So in the end, everything worked out well." Just goes to show that Rose knows best." Hey, I was the one that gave Karkat the incentive to ask you out!" You glared at Dave, remembering how he told Karkat about your feelings."Why the threatening look?" Oh I told her you told me."
