This is the last set for now, but I hope to get some more photos when the weather conditions are right (if not, then at least expect some after Katsucon).Though this was a fairly simple cosplay to pull off, I always like to provide info for how I put my costumes together.The wefts were mostly for the very front because originally the bangs were not as thick as I needed them to be.

The base hoodie was from Target, though it was originally pretty big on me, so I had to take in the size a lot.Painting the hoodie was the most time-consuming part. I spent about 15 hours on the hoodie alone, and another few hours on the bottom edges of the pants. wba hoodieI used a combination of white fabric paint, glitter fabric paint, and blue fabric paint for some accents. 5sos hoodie ebayI was very picky with how I wanted the area around the collar to be painted because in the reference the design reminded me of pine needles.5sos hoodie ebayThe pants were made out of a brown linen-looking suiting fabric. piperlime hoodieI used a leggings pattern, and I had to cut it out a bit bigger to start since the fabric doesn't really have any stretch to it (though I tried to cut the pieces out as close as I could along the bias so it'd have at least a little give). nike tech fleece funnel hoodie

The top has elastic, and the bottom edges were cut to look torn (I used fray check to keep it from unraveling). I just used some bias tape for the wrappings around the bottom, but I had to dye them to get the color I wanted. They're top-stiched around the pants to keep them in place.nike tech fleece funnel hoodieMy husband made the staff because I did not have the time before the convention. hoodie hoodie hoodupIt's made mostly out of PVC pipe, a thin (but sturdy) cardboard tube, and masking tape. He used a stone textured spray paint to start with, but it looked pretty nasty since the color wasn't sticking well, but after adding a coat of normal brown paint it had an awesome texture to it. He did some hand painting with white and blue to match the references. The staff is made to break down into 3 pieces so we could pack it in our suitcase.

And I think it turned out great! I loved working on this! And it only took me 3 intensive workdays! :woot:I used metallic silver textile paint and a thin brush. Oh and a navy hoodie... If anyone is interested, I'm selling this beauty. However, if more than one person is interested, I'll open up a few slots for commission. This one is a size S. The price would be about $50-55 + shipping (about $15-17 due to weight). I can put it up on ebay if you feel more comfortable, but that will add a few dollars extra to the base price (ebay likes to feed pretty well on final sale prices ). Today's Cosplay of the Day features the oh-so-cool Guardian, Jack Frost, from 'Rise of the Guardians.' This fun-loving spirit looks like the very essence of winter, and has the white hair and pale complexion to go with his season. Strap on your skates and let's check him out. Jack Frost awoke after centuries of deep sleep and isolation. As a result, he didn't really warm up to the idea of becoming a Guardian and joining the likes of Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. He's a bit of a rebel, but we eventually see him grow into the role of a Guardian. Akai-Ritsuka is a Russian cosplayer who's chosen to don Jack's frosty blue hoodie and wield his wintry staff. Her creamy complexion and the air about her definitely add to the look and help bring about the sense that she really is Jack Frost. She gets bonus points for being barefoot out in the snow like that, which shows the ability to commit to the character.
