Seconds start off at home to Pocklington Firsts in Division Two Holderness then away to Kirkella Firsts,home to South Holderness Firsts and after that away to Sutton on Hull Firsts. Understand from our Hon Sec Ron Biggs that the YDSCL have called a meeting of Div 3 Conference clubs at Hull Ionians on Feb 9 to discuss new fixture list. Steve Bunn will be fielding two teams in the East Yorkshire Junior Indoor Cricket League Under 13s eight a side competition at Wolfreton School Sports Hall Well Lane Willerby on Sunday evenings ---- Hull Zingari and Zingari Hull Jan 29 at 5pm Hull Zingari  beat  Hessle  by 75 runs  and  5.40pm beat  Beverley Beavers by 26 runs. Good all-round performances from everyone. Feb 5 at 5 Zingari Hull lost to Patrington Penguins by 9 runs  and  6.20 lost to  Beverley Beavers by 43 runs ( friendly). Despite two defeats some good individual performances from our younger huit .

Senior captains and vice captains elected were :-- First XI Alastair Markham and Matthew Bunn; Second XI Simon Powdrell and Jon Hyde; Crusaders ( Third XI) Mark Thompson and Jason Kemp. We have been nominated by the ECB to host an 8 week course aimed at boys and girls aged 5-9 as part of their national introductory campaign and full details will be announced in the new year. Details of our junior indoor nets will be announced shortly. Surprise award for " Our Jack" at YDSCL dinner. Jack Riley was  awarded the Lol Morse Memorial Trophy for the outstanding  contribution of a youngster in a YDSCL Representative side. Our Hon Sec Ron Biggs received the Trophy from Yorkshire CCC and England all -rounder Tom Bresnan on behalf of Jack September started off our CROWDFUNDING  appeal. ALL senior players and supporters should have received details by post or email with full   details of a grand fundraising effort for 2017.
It costs £20,000 a year to run our club with over 120 junior and senior fixtures organised each season plus coaching organisation and  winter indoor nets for juniors and seniors. Volunteers to run ( and support)  a race night,  golf day or cricket festival are requested to contact Mike Ulyatt with their offers.£2050 PROMISED SO FAR ( boundary boards,  match ball sponsorship,junior fixture card sponsorship, match funding offer). Early date for your 2017 diary -- annual NatWest CricketForce clean -up weekend April 1 and 2. Any ideas of what could be done to any committee member for discussion. New fencing  will need painting.
