It was the first show they played since spiting up with Chris Walla and they were not only introducing new songs but new band members as well.
I’ve seen DCFC 5 times now and its still a pleasure to see them live. The band was really playful and happy on stage. Ben sang his heart out and I’m pretty sure he sweat out all his water weight. w dnp hoodieThat man can sing, and sweat. ozone hoodyThe band along with two new members were really great. adios crop top hoodieIt seemed as if they had been together all along and it looks like they’re all great friends. The new songs they introduced were taken really well by the audience. They have a great early Death Cab sound and also introduced fresh electronic beats which made some of the songs sound like they could very well be off of Narrow Stairs. Wanna listen to them? Well I have you covered! Below you will find 3 new songs, “Black Sun” which is the first single off the album and “No Room In Frame” and “Ghost of Beverly Drive”.
I hope you enjoy them and keep an eye out for their new album Kintsugi out on March 31st. No Room in FrameGhost of Beverly Drive Today I had a talk with my Lyft driver that made me think about this blog. We got to talking about wanting to work in the music industry and be a music journalist, which is what I’ve always wanted to do. He made a comment about how everyone who does this is now mostly doing it freelance style on their own blogs, which is what reminded me of this. I was really proud of the work we (Jess & I) were doing on this blog and I kind of lost sight of what I wanted to achieve with this blog. I started taking my journalism courses and realized how I was doing it all wrong and trying to take on too much and I abandoned this place. Im sorry I gave up… So this is me trying to pick it right back up and go back to the main reason I started this thing, which is to talk about music and share what I like with others. I want this to be my platform to connect with other music loving people and to get others on board with what I like and have yet to discover.
Alrighty, so theres that! Im ready to get back to it and to do it my way and have fun with it! welcome back to The SeaSound. Anonymous asked: Do you guys have any idea what DJ set means? For example, I saw Animal Collective is coming to Neumos this summer but it says DJ. You guys are amazing btw! <3It usually means they wont be playing their usual show/ their own music, they will be playing a variety of music that they like from other artists. These kinds of shows are actually pretty cool cus you get to see what music inspires them and you get to see what music they tend to listen to. Animal Collective is awesome and I know they have influenced a lot of my personal favorite bands so I think it would be so sweet to see their DJ set! and thank you so much :) Im glad you like the blog! Fall Out Boy & New Politics at the WA State Fair Many people were curious as to why Fall Out Boy and New Politics were not going to be stopping in Seattle on their upcoming tour after both bands had successful sold out shows here.
Today, the announcement came that the reason was because they would be stopping in Puyallup on September 12th at the Washington State Fair (formerly known as the Puyallup Fair).Pre-sale starts on April 2nd at 10am and tickets go on sale the public Saturday, April 5th at 10am. Tickets are GA and I expect them to sell out pretty quickly since many people were wondering when they were going to announce a Washington stop to their tour. Anonymous asked: Your sasquatch post... that's old news...But I thought it should still be posted. Some people who aren’t going to Sasquatch might want to know about it if they haven’t already. Earlier this week, the president of Live Nation announced that they were cancelling weekend 2 of Sasquatch! Music Festival during Fourth of July weekend because of low ticket sales. Sasquatch, which is usually a one weekend, 4-day event was changed to a 3-day festival because of the change to a two weekend festival. The cancellation isn’t a surprise because of the high cost of tickets for both weekends. Sasquatch has been a tradition for many for Memorial Day weekend, and the idea of extending it to two weekends did not sit well for many.
Artists such as Soundgarden, Tegan and Sara, Frank Ocean and Local Natives were planning on performing the second weekend. Hopefully though, many of the artists are going to be making arrangements to play at smaller venues to make up for the cancellation.Ticketmaster is refunding half of the ticket prices to the credit card that was used to purchase the tickets. And some weekend 1 passes are still available if you are still considering attending. leo-luck asked: I was wondering what you meant by tier 1 and tier 2 already being full?? I bought my ticket like three hours ago but it was just general admission right? I'm confusedleo-luck:theseasound:Tier 1, 2, 3, and 4 are all general admission. But tier 1 started at $172 with fees. So after all the tier 1 GA sold out, then you could only buy from the price of tier 2, 3 and 4. So now you can only by from tier 3 and 4 now, and tier 3 with fees is $197.Thank god. Wow thank you for being nice about it. I felt really dumb. When I was buying it (it was exactly the price you just said) I was just squinting my eyes and my heart was beating because it’s so much money.
