A MAN who admitted shooting a baby in the head with with an air gun has been remanded in custody for his own safety.Jordan Walters, 24, and his partner Emma Jane Horseman, 23, appeared in Bristol Magistrates Court this morning.Walters, of Oak House, Bishport Avenue, Hartcliffe, pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm on baby Harry Studley, who remains in a critical condition after the incident on Friday.He was remanded in custody after it emerged gangs in Bristol have been seeking out his address. Meanwhile Horseman, also of Oak House in Hartcliffe, was charged with aiding or abetting Walters to wound or inflict grievous bodily harm on a person.Jordan Walters, 24, was in a flat with his partner Emma Jane Horseman, 23, where the 18-month-old was wailing. The youngster remains in a critical condition at Bristol Children's Hospital following the incident at a high-rise block of flats in Hartcliffe, Bristol, at around 4pm last Friday. Dressed in a navy jacket, Walters today pleaded guilty to one charge of grievous bodily harm at Bristol Magistrates Court.

His partner Horseman, wearing a grey hoodie and striped top, did not enter a plea and will stand trial for aiding and abetting grievous bodily harm at a later date. Lucy Coleman, prosecuting, said: "This is case where an 18 month child has been shot with an air rifle and suffered very serious injuries. He is now in hospital in a critical condition."She said Walters is the owner of an air rifle, which he was cleaning while the baby boy and his mother were visiting the flat.
