Can't go wrong with Arcteryx good jacket!light worm comfortable Color not as expected. It was one of the most famous dances ever to feature in the Eurovision Song Contest and now, the choreographer behind Bucks Fizz' skirt-ripping dance has revealed that it almost never happened.Chrissy Wickham, 61, is the brains behind the routine that saw Bucks Fizz singers Cheryl Baker and Jay Aston have their long skirts whipped off by their male bandmates as they performed 1981's Making Your Mind Up.The memorable manoeuvre, which came as they sung the line 'If you wanna see some more...' left the pair bare-legged and has been credited by some for the UK's victory that year. Chrissy Wickham, from Dorset, is the choreographer behind Bucks Fizz' 1981 Eurovision winning routineNow Ms Wickham has revealed that the move was nearly dropped because Cheryl was nervous about displaying her 'thick, muscular' legs to an audience of millions. The idea initially came about when neither singer could decide on a skirt length to wear, so Ms Wickham suggesting a combination of both instead.

'Jay had beautiful legs and wanted to wear a short skirt, but Cheryl had thicker legs and wanted to wear a longer skirt,' explains Ms Wickham who now lives in Dorset.'There were arguments back and forth about it and I just said 'it's fine I can work it into the routine that we do both.''There's a line that goes "if you wanna see some more" and it just seemed like the perfect point to me. It's so obvious in a choreographer's mind. Bucks Fizz were made up of (from left to right) Cheryl Baker, Bobby Gee, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston The Eurovision performance started with Cheryl Baker (left) and Jay Aston (right) in long skirts Band mates Bobby Gee (middle left) and Mike Nolan (middle right) rip their long skirts off to reveal mini-skirts Bucks Fizz finished their performance in mini-skirts and went on to win the 1981 Eurovision'It was also just before the jive sequence, which they didn't need big skirts for, so it was a good point to remove the longer ones.'The magic has sort of gone out of it now because everyone keeps trying to claim credit for it.'But it's funny how nobody claims anything else in the choreography

, just that 10 seconds. Now I just think it doesn't matter, let it go.'Cheryl Baker said: 'The skirt move came about because we were discussing what length skirt to have.'I had muscular runner's legs and I wanted a long skirt and Jay was very tiny so she wanted short. Ms Wickham says the move almost never happened as Cheryl Baker was nervous about displaying her legs Ms Wickham decided to work a short and long skirt into the routine to enable the skirt-rip Bucks Fizz was the first of six times Ms Wickham choreographed the routine for the UK Eurovision entry After Eurovision, she worked with other big star names like Cliff Richard, Mick Jagger and BoyzoneCheryl added: 'We were going to and fro for ages and then someone said "let's have both" and Chrissy said she could make that work.'The skirts had a buckle on them that the boys grabbed to make the longer skirt come away. It was the iconic moment that won us the competition, I really believe that.'It changed our lives completely.

Everything in my life now is because of Making Your Mind Up - where I live, the person I married, my kids. It was less than three minutes but it changed everything.'And, she reveals, the move still has the power to draw gasps from the audience. 'I was at a primary school talking about Eurovision recently and they showed the film of us doing the song and all the children gasped when the skirts came off.'
