Current Casual Wardrobe Staples Comfortable and cool at the same time. I was inspired by this post to show you some of my current wardrobe staples, but I wanted to stick to my casual items. I always keep things pretty casual, I love sneakers and sweaters and jeans but I always try to spice them up with accessories. I’m almost always wearing a t-shirt when I’m just hanging around and my latest obsession is this Whistles Bien Tee. They’re super comfortable and easy to throw on so that’s a definite must have for me. If I want to have something slightly dressier, but still low-maintenance I love a crisp white shirt. I always roll up the sleeves and usually I tuck the front into the front of my jeans. As for sweaters, you can’t go wrong with Bella Freud and this Je T’aime Jane one is beautiful! I also love wearing long cardigans like this blue Acne one over top of t-shirts or tank tops. It’s nice to wear a soft pop of colour when the weather is so grim. I am almost always in jeans and thankfully I finally found a pair of boyfriend jeans from Citizens of Humanity that are tight in all the right places.

I love to pair my jeans with some cool sneakers like these Silver ones from Common Projects, or a pair of the classic Adidas in a unique colour. Want an alternative for jeans? These cotton overalls are the bomb! I love that they’re in a comfortable thin material rather than denim because it’s a bit unexpected. I’ve been pulling a Goldmember lately because I can’t get enough of the stuff.Even my  Commes Des Garçons wallet has a gold accent! I’ve been wearing loads of gold rings, so it’s only natural that I should also be wearing some gold ice on my wrist. This Larsson + Jennings Liten watch is absolutely perfect and whenever I wear it I find myself staring at it and petting it. They come in a few sizes, but mine is the smallest one because I wanted to do some layering. My chunky gold Moxham bracelet looks badass with my watch and although it’s not my usual style I love wearing it. Of course, I had to include my current favourite Miu Miu sunglasses which are always on my face if I’m outside.

They’re a really unique shape and I think the tortoise shell warms up my complexion a bit. Another accessory I couldn’t live without is a pair of headphones. North Texas nearly won the doubles point after Laura Arciniegas and Minying Liang forced a tiebreak against Athena Trouillot and Samantha Memije, but the Spartans ended doubles play with a 1-0 lead and used the momentum to win three singles matches and take the contest.“We found a way to get back in position to win the doubles point, but I think in the end they were just a little more aggressive than us,” head coach Sujay Lama said. North Texas (0-2) got strong contributions from their top doubles pair of Maria Kononova and Tamuna Kutubidze. The No. 54 ranked doubles team made their season debut together and defeated Erin Faulkner and Allie Baer 6-0. Kononova and Kutubidze went 10-5 in No. 1 doubles matches last spring and their .667 winning percentage is tied for the seventh best in program history."It was great to have Tamuna back,” Lama said. “She has put in a lot of hard work and it paid off for her today. The chemistry she has with Maria is special. They did not miss a beat since the last time they played together in regionals."

The Spartans’ (3-0) combo of Emily Metcalf and Davina Nguyen defeated Alexandra Heczey and Alexis Thoma 6-1, which put Trouillot and Memije in position to take the doubles point with their win in tiebreakers.Kononova looked dominant in her singles match against Faulkner (6-0, 6-3). The sophomore won eight singles matches last spring at the No. 1 spot. Kononova’s success carried over to this past fall. In October, she reached the ITA Texas Regional Singles Final.Haruka Sasaki also played well Saturday. The freshman won her match against Lexi Baylis in a tiebreaker (6-1, 7-6 (4)).
