Contract and project training are available upon request. Instructional resources we use in our HEO "Heavy Equipment Operator" program have been developed through a cooperative effort by all of the Operating Engineers Training Centers across Canada. Our curriculum has been formatted to meet all of the provincial requirements across Canada. In addition to the established curriculum, we utilize many other resources to enhance the students’ learning experience; such as power point presentations, dvd videos, simulation training, and guest speakers when possible. Our HEO course has been developed to use a Systems Approach to Training (SAT) to ensure client student satisfaction at the highest level.
Sanctioned by the Public Service Commission of Canada, (SAT) is a comprehensive, systematic approach to training that encompasses initiating, designing, developing, delivering and evaluating OETIM’s training programs.  Our program addresses the knowledge and skills necessary to become a HEO, and represents the foundation of the course.  The main areas of required training are: •  Protect Self and Others•  Pre-Operational Inspections•  Earthmoving Operations•  Transporting Heavy Equipment•  Equipment Maintenance Students should possess the following before being accepted into one of our HEO Courses:•  A valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s License •  An interest in operating mechanical equipment•  Minimum Grade 9 Education•  Manual dexterity, good eye-hand and hand-foot coordination•  Good color, distance and depth vision•  Ability to follow instructions (verbal and hand signals)•  Physically fit with ability to adapt to rugged working conditions•  Ability to perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance•  Construction experience prefferedThe course will combine 80 hours of classroom learning with 160 hours of practical learning.
Students will spend the first few hours of most days in the classroom and the remainder of the day in the field.  Implementing a flexible training methodology allows the instructor to alternate between the classroom and the field each day, thus keeping participants interested and permitting adjustments for poor weather conditions.  Once the 80 hours of required classroom learning is complete, the students will spend the remaining time in the field.  During the field exercises the students will be monitored on safety, attention to detail, control of machine, accuracy, production, and work habits.  zwangerschaps hoodiesAny unacceptable behaviour will be addressed immediately.  bape shark hoodie zipperThe extensive amount of field instruction allows each student ample seat time and hands-on experience.  csx hoodies
