Was hoping to replicate in black but these are viciously uncomfortable, digging into the backs of my heels like knives. The leather feels much stiffer and cheaper than in previous models. Posted: Feb 8, 2017I have them in a black floral and now the solid black canvas. Basically my favorite shoes. I wouldnt suggest wearing them in the snow or rain, but almost any other weather works. They're comfortable even on days that have a lot of walking or standing. Posted: Feb 5, 2017 Run a tad large, I'm a 10.5 US and the 10s run over, nothing slightly thicker socks can't fix. Worn them in with wonder balsam and walking around the house, very comfortable. I'll probably order another color to join this pair. The print is super cute though!Can were as a casual office environment shoevas well as everyday shoe. Nice and light shoe. Great shoes that are Doc Martin tuff but easier to get on and off. They are fantastic right out of the box and do not need to be broken in. I would recommend using dr Martin wonder balsam on these when they are new to give them a good protective start to keep them looking great. I'm very happy to have these shoes they are great. I ordered a 9.5 (I'm a consistent 9.5 M), but not only were they too short in the toe box, but they were so stiff, I didn't think I could possibly wear them long enough to even break them in. I'm sure they are durable, but it would be nice if the leather had been softened up a bit. My arch hovered well above the shoe bed - I do have a high arch, but not usually a problem with most styles with some arch support. This shoe is by far the most comfortable lightweight shoe I have ever purchased. Great style, color goes well with any pair of slacks. What a terrific insole. This new pair seems a little more rigid and the tongue is definitely thinner and not as padded. Seems like the manufacturer made some money-saving changes to the shoes. That being said, they are still Doc Martens and the style is great and they are comfy. Very cute and very comfortable. The leather is already nice and soft (so no super long break in period) and the foot bed is very cushy. The only problem is, I am normally a UK 5 in Dr Martens and they are at least half a size too big. I think if I went a whole size down they'd be a tiny bit snug. I'll have to find an insole or heel thing so the fit a little better. I'd definitely consider sizing down a size (though if they had halfs, I bet at 4.5 would be perfect (I love a little extra room).
