Since the beginning of the rap genre there has been several branches from its original form.
There has been hardcore rap that is in your face and intense, and there has been the fun quirky kind of rap that artists such as the Beastie Boys helped create. bill cipher hoodieAs you might have guessed from someone whose name is based on a wordplay of Woody Allen’s name, Hoodie Allen clearly falls into the fun style of hip-hop.wifey hoodie australia Hoodie Allen has taken a very do-it-yourself kind of approach to his music having recorded most of his music himself, as well as having funded and produced some of his music videos. texas a&m performance hoodieHoodie Allen shows are always like a fun party to attend. yaaasss hoodieEveryone in the crowd is loudly singing the songs and swaying their hands in the air.
Hoodie Allen is often accompanied by a guitar player and a DJ when on stage to help fill out the sound. During the performance Hoodie Allen is running around the stage, rapping off his lyrics, and inciting the audience to participate in the fun. Hoodie Allen’s music speaks to the modern generation and his performances are well received at college campuses. The name is absolutely horrendous, no question about that, but it’d be a shame to judge New York rapper Steven Markovitz purely on that, because he’s had an interesting career since breaking through in 2009. He hardly had the most conventional of hip hop starts - he kicked off his career after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania and whilst still working for Google in their AdWords department. Once he began to tour, the day job fell by the wayside, and he’s gone from strength to strength since; his debut EP, All American, made the top 10 in the U.S. and the top 20 in Canada. He’s still in the process of readying his first album proper - it should be out later this year - and he then plans to tour the world; his shows in American have continued to steadily increase in size, with his most recent dates seeing him debut new material whilst flanked by a turntablist and a guitarist, as well as run through cuts like ‘No Interruption’ and ‘Top of the World’ that, amongst Allen’s cult fanbase, are already stone-cold classics.
A debut UK run late last year saw him bring a full live band and enjoy a messianic reception from those gathered; I’m not sure I can forgive him taking Woody’s name in vain, but he’s certainly going to be one to watch in the coming years. The show starts before Hoodie Allen even walks onto the stage. Hoodie's opening acts do more than tide you over before the main act comes on. I learned about a few of my favorite artists through the bands that opened for Hoodie. Rather than simply keep you occupied before the real event starts, they keep you happy, and even more excited for what is to come. When the opening acts are done and the lights go down you know the time for Hoodie Allen has come. He does a great job of building anticipation, and when he comes out he does so with a bang. The first song is always a crowd favorite, a great way to start off the show. Hoodie does a fantastic job of playing a large array of his songs, so whether you like the old or the new you will be pleased.
Apart from playing the music, Hoodie connects to the crowd in many ways. Hoodie makes sure to let the fans at the concerts know how important they are, and how much they mean to him. If a little talking to the crowd was not good enough, Hoodie and his crew throw cake baked from fans into the crowd during his song "Cake Boy". The atmosphere is wild, especially when he floats through the crowd in an inflatable raft. Hoodie Allen's shows are a fun time, and unforgettable experiences. It's prior to 24 hours after the show and I'm still on that concert high. His stage prescense is unforgettable and highly contagious. Tour after tour, his opening acts succeed in getting the crowd hyped. The setlist was a fair share of the "new shit" and oldies. His introductions for songs are clever and makes it obvious when the crowd goes absolutely ape. The set was outstanding- lights, smoke, confetti, elevation; mad props to the team. Watch out for airborne cake and bras. Not even to mention how reasonable the ticket prices are and the opportunities to meet him.
A musician who truly cares about his fans and knows what's important. Keep on keepin' on. Hoodie Allen is a natural performer and entertainer. He heavily involves the crowd during the show and his shows are also very intimate. Also, they are crazy. From a flying cake to having water thrown at you, be ready for your clothes to get a little messy. Hoodie is a fantastic performer with great live presence and an excellent live voice. He also uses props, crowd surfs, and will occasionally sing directly to you. Make the right decision and spend a little bit of money for a priceless concert. Hoodie Allen cares about his fans. This was one of the best concerts I have been to purely because of his love and positivity towards music. Originally Blackbear was supposed to be on the tour but he dropped the day of the concert (Omaha, NE. 2-29-16) and hoodie did an extra set as an opener because he didn't want to disappoint his fans. The concert was amazing and very very hype. I would 10/10 recommend going to his concert/ doing m&g with him because he is a very genuine and amazing performer.
I know this is supposed to be a long review and all but that's not needed. The Hoodie Allen concert was one of the best nights of my life. I highly recommend buying your tickets and going to see this awesome live concert. You get a variety of music and you have a lot of fun throughout the whole night.Couldn't of attended a better show! The dj was great and I was standing up jamming through the whole concert! Something you don't want to miss! The lineup was great with hoddie, wiz then fall out boy. Each group had a good amount of time for their set and I loved how they sang from two spotsHoodie was very interactive with the crowd. The people who opened up for him didn't take too long and they went by pretty quickly. to get past you in the pit, but that was expected. Other than that, everything was amazing and I can't wait to see him again! Hoodie knows how to throw down. Shouldn't have been the opener though if I'm honest, he did a better job getting the crowd going than fall out boy.
