I love when calls come in for the other Matt and get forwarded to me by mistake. Jack and I just had one of those "What up? In other, more compelling, Jack Black news look for the portly funnyman to be rocking aLocal Celebrity "I Have a Black Belt in Keeping it Real" in press shots for his upcoming flick with Nicole Kidman.OK..I am done for real this time. Hayden rocks for going after this. The slaughter of dolphins in Japan is abhorrent. Props to pro free surfer Dave Rastovich for also being involved, though he wasn't mentioned. This documentary looks incredible and is a definite must see!!! Word on the street is that another former client has bit the dust. This brand is the O.G. dead to us brand. I'm off to go surf Las Gaviotas, Baja Mexico with the boys for the weekend and frankly I am too excited that I don't feel like blogging any more today. SOOOOOOOOOOO...will come back online Monday to regale you with pics and stories. Director Paul "Coy" Allen rocking a TLFI hoodie and a former denim client's jeans for a shoot he did for Traffic Magazine.Paul laying his mac down in Cali in a Local Celebrity tee.

Thanks to Hachy Mendez for the keen styling! I love all the talk and debate whether the Hills is real or not. Of course, it's fake. It's the modern day soap opera with real characters. Some of the cast was actually cast by MTV and they shoot pickups weeks after scenes were shot (and re-shot). The homes, jobs and friendships are all manufactured. Why am I telling you this? So you don't me well enough to score gobs of free clothes from TLFI...then go out and buy some for rock bottom prices. This sample sale will have a ton of cool shit from some sick ass brands. OK so I am not really into this dressing up shit. I even hated it as a kid. Maybe that was because every year my mom and dad said go put on your soccer, baseball or football uniform, give me a pillowcase and kick us out of the house. Anyways, Jason came dressed up as Zorro today and is so excited about his costume. He is still furious he didn't win the office contest last year. boxes come in for him, box by box. Silly Jason...dress up is for kids and strippers.

/ (///content/view/223/42/ (thanks Anita Malik!)...and thanks again to Courtney Hazlett for the Dussault post on MSNBC. She reported that it got about 513,000 hits yesterday. The girl is on fire! Someone please tell me this is a blatant 100% rip off (even the colorway) of True Love and False Idol's "Til The Wheels Fall Off" pullover hoodie. We found this "Artful Dodger" version from their current line (TLFI's broke a year ago). Just another example of a large (recently acquired) brand who has no creativity so they have to go and bite the style of the crew doing it for real. The FAKE (Artful Dodger) versus The REAL (TLFI) Welcome to the club of brands that have ripped of a small talented company...you are in good company along with Christian Audigier and Fat Cop XXL, among many others. Rocking the decks as always. See you on the 8th homie. NOTHING is as it seems! Growing up as a kid my dad collected cars. He used to buy exotics and rebuild them, drive them for a bit and then sell them for a new project (or sometimes let them just sit there unfinished like our Bentley "Sir Harry" that was haunted).

We weren't loaded or anything, but this was where my dad spent the family money. There were times when there were 13 cars in our lives. Well, not to get too deep into my past since its none of your business, the car above was THE CAR I loved. It was a 1969 Ferrari 206GT Dino. Not to be confused with the mass produced 246, the 206 was one of about 200. This was the car I always thought some day I would get. I was brought up to appreciate cars, not in status sort of way, but in a work of art sort of way.
srm hoodieFerrari's served that role in my life as a kid.
hoodies south of the border snack mixMy dad wound up selling/trading the car of my dreams and thus ended his car collecting days.
lenoir rhyne hoodieI got bupkis as they were all gone by the time I was 16.

Not that I would have been able to drive the Jaguar XKE, Rolls Corniche, Porsche C or the coveted Ferrari Dino...but at least a boy can dream. Now I drive a piece of shit and just don't care, though somewhere in the world there is an F430 Spyder with my name on it. OK this car is bad ass. I love me some Ferraris so when they come out with a new supercar I listen. The only thing I see is that it just looks like a formula car for the street. The design cues harken back to late 70's, early 80's Formula 1 racers. What was meant to be a raging swell has been downgraded. I hope there are waves at Las Gaviotas. I hate driving around willy nilly in Mex. I am sure to get nabbed by the federalis and have to pay my way out of a ticket. says:Friday the 2nd the SW should remain for the AM with waist+ waves for south facing breaks. We should also see a bit more NW from the Aleutians, but once again, anything above waist high for west facing breaks would be rare. Saturday the 3rd the SW backs off to knee to waist.

The NW on the other hand will likely pick up some, possibly up to chest high at times for west facing breaks. Sunday the 4th is when our next SW swell is due, but this has been downgraded this morning as well. As you may recall from my reports last week, this is from what was supposed to be a rather large system swinging northward by New Zealand after gaining strength in the Southern Ocean. Models today though show only 25- 30-foot seas max, which means we should see waist to chest high swell from this, coming in from 220 with 16-second periods. /id/21518380/Courtney Hazlett made her MSNBC debut this weekend and in her inaugural column, Dussault's store launch got a mention. Wonder how that happened...thanks C.H. You kicked major ASS!!!! For all you gossip-mongers I have a piece of gossip that only I know about that I will break on this site soon. A major deal has been inked at the hands of yours truly and involves a certain someone from a certain very very popular "reality show" and a certain clothing store chain.
