I was using three or four pillows for support and that just didn’t work. plus, we knew this would be the baby’s space once he arrived and I already planned on spending his first few months by his side. I had many visions of how this space would come together. since this is a shared space, we didn’t want too many baby focused things but rather a simple coordinated look.

ultimately the styling revolved around a beautiful vintage kantha blanket I found and it went from there. I just love how bright this space is! indigo blue is one of my very favorite colors and I had fun collecting things to go in the room. Orin will eventually sleep in his crib but for now he’s sleeping in the moses basket, which was first Wolf’s! {side note – for those of you with more than one kiddo, how fun is it to see hand-me-downs used by your second child?} when he’s ready for his crib, we’ll probably move a twin sized bed into this tiny room so that it’s not jam packed. I hunted and hunted for a simple mobile but didn’t find anything that I liked, or could afford, so I decided to make my own inspired by one I’d found on Pinterest. it was super easy to make and lots of fun to put together. since it converts to a dresser once you no longer need the changing portion. the natural wood works so well with the moses basket and I love it’s semi mid-century look.

I can see it being in Orin’s room for awhile! the flokati rug is also from Serena & Lily. it’s super soft and cozy and just perfect for playtime. now that the weather is getting cooler, we’ve been spending a lot of time snuggling in warm knits and under cozy blankets. I got this amazing ace & jig duster from the folks at Accompany. it’s simply perfect for lazy mornings.
